"Revolver" - which is the truth?

The movie "Revolver" made me enjoy it with relish and my heart pounding when I watched it. The director is really good at switching shots, mastering the scale of space and light, and the actors' performances are so delicate and realistic, and the ideas are clever, and the retrospective and advance are alternately staged. However, after I watched it, I became confused, because the suspense at the beginning, the parameters added in the middle, and the variables that appeared at the end made me think that there should always be an explanation before the end of the movie. But it didn't, or I didn't quite understand what kind of explanation it was.

At that time, I was not too anxious. After all, my personal ability to understand and comprehend was limited, and I had seen very few movies. In fact, you don't need to think too much at all, just check the plot and movie reviews on the Internet and you will be able to find it. However, it is yet another. However, I searched and checked, and neither the official interpretation of the movie script nor a group of fans who love the director could give a definite statement.

The official said: "You don't know the truth until the last second." But at the thousandth last second, I still don't know the truth. Netizens have different explanations, but most of them are inconsistent. Anyone who pretends to understand and doesn't explain will be given the name of "B". Some people say that the director took away the main line so the audience can't see the truth. Some people say that director Jiang Lang can't express what he wants to express, and some people say that there is no one who can understand it all at once. So I was depressed and at the same time relieved: it turned out that I was not the one with the worst comprehension and the stupidest.

The following is my estimate of the plot:

1. The protagonist has schizophrenia, and everything is a result of his schizophrenia. In fact, he is still in prison and has not come out, and may eventually die.

2 The protagonist is released from prison, but the two liars around him who help him do not exist, they are just his split consciousness. He listened to the words of the two liars and finally figured it out and unified the spirit, killing the BOSS.

3 The protagonist is released from prison, two liars exist, but the BOSS does not exist. Everything is a means used by the two liars to help the protagonist get rid of the split consciousness. In the end, the protagonist unifies his consciousness and kills the BOSS of the split spirit.

4 The protagonist was released from prison, two liars existed, and the BOSS also existed. At first, the protagonist was hypnotized by the two liars, resulting in a split spirit. Later, through various arrangements, the split spirit was unified and hypnotized to the BOSS, so that he finally thought he had a spirit. Split, hypnotized to suicide.

However, none of the above four can fully explain the following doubts:

1. Why did Mr. GOLD's female spokesperson choose two women in front of the protagonist BOSS.

2 The protagonist is proficient in the pros and cons of why chess is the easiest to cheat with the BOSS at the beginning.

3 Why did the protagonist see the "picked up" piece of paper in front of the house, and just dodged the bullet attack the moment he bent down. How can the time of this piece of paper be calculated so accurately?

4 Why did the female killer who broke the BOSS's fingers be so high-profile at the beginning, but then disappeared.

5 Why is the protagonist so sure that he returns the white powder to the BOSS, so that the BOSS can let him and his niece go.

6 Who is the omniscient Mr. GOLD and what role does he play in the play?

7 Why is the title called a revolver.

There are too many doubts and too few clues to the truth. We can only wait for more insightful people to analyze the problem clearly. After spitting out most of the doubts, I went to the director's other film, Two Smoking Guns, with more doubts, because many people said that this was the director's peak masterpiece.

I hope I don't keep looking for abuse, Amen.

  • Jake Green: [Mr. Green in the elevator, after being convinced by his friends not to take the stairs] Now I've got to spend the next two minutes, shaking... and sweating... like a crack whore looking for a fix... Should have taken the stairs... cause it's getting very... very tight in here.

  • Zach: Did you get anything from the old lady?

    Jake Green: No.

Zach: Did you get anything from Horwitz?

    Jake Green: No.

    Zach: Why not?

Jake Green: Because he didn't have it.

Zach: Listen, pal. Either he pays or you pay.

    Jake Green: I pay anyway.

    Zach: Don't be a smartass.
