The wonderful air battle presented by the broken plane

The background of the story is World War I, so the planes are very primitive, there is no canopy, and the machine guns are all mounted on the nose. The pilots looked so helpless. There was only a scarf to protect the pilot's neck, and only goggles and a leather hat on the head. There was no shelter, and they might even be killed by the pilot next to him with a pistol. Therefore, at that time, the average life expectancy of pilots after participating in the war was only 3 to 6 weeks. It was terrible. This means that God means death.
Because of these, the pilots at that time did not have much of the feeling of being a proud pilot of today, relying on the most primitive bravery, which is difficult for us to imagine.
The story of the film is told quite well, and several protagonists are well portrayed, probably in order to avoid stereotypes, and many children's love and brotherhood are just touched. The most exciting part of the film is the several aerial battles. The scenes of each battle are different. There are passive enemy attacks, active interceptions, chasing sneak attacks, hitting fixed-point targets, and finally double-clicking to single out! What I like most is the one-on-three combat when chasing the big airship, the plane is not too fast, and the tactics are clearly seen.
Such a backward plane is so beautifully photographed, I really have to admire the Americans.
