Accompanied by Puccini's aria, the first song "Her Memories" is amazing, but the story is more profound from the classics. Interpretation of "the past" with a kind of classical beauty. The second part, an absurd story
, a fast-paced "now". The trilogy "Cannon Street" has created a highly industrialized city. Citizens perform their duties every day and shoot at enemies they don't even know if they exist. Is it a "future" with no hope. From a sensory point of view, I prefer , there are illusory visions, and there are real truths.
I haven't watched it, it's composed of three short plays, which can be regarded as the representative work of Otomo's animated film, the whole work is very imposing, largely due to Yoko Kanno's feeling for the soundtrack. But personally, I still prefer the style of "Metropolis". Maybe I am attracted by the beautiful picture, but there are indeed many masterpieces with profound connotations.
