Bach in the film

The name of this piece is: Piano Concerto No.5 2.Largo. It appears several times in the film, the first being the narrative of false memories. This is one of my favorite songs, I listened to the version played by GLENN GOULD. Its appearance in the context of war has a chill that sends a chill down the spine. The reflection of life and death, beauty and evil is so shocking. And we watched it as the reporter described the experience—we were just spectators to the unimaginable evils in human history, we couldn't do anything, even just face it.

4+. Twinkling eyes, evasive attitude. In order to convey the repressed reality, it is almost inevitable to combine such a feature film/documentary/animation. The camera movement of moral challenge, the conversion from animation to footage. Tools are really secondary, Flash can also complete masterpieces!

It turned out to be a documentary, very innovative.

Waltz with Bashir quotes

  • [from trailer]

Ari Folman: After the 1982 invasion of Lebanon, I lost my memory. Now in order to remember, I am looking for those who can never forget.

  • Himself - Interviewee: Memory is dynamic, it's alive. If some details are missing, memory fills the holes with things that never happened.
