I first watched the clip on youtube and fell in love immediately: the color and graininess of the Polaroid, I have never been able to resist.
The story of the film is unparalleled. Little boy makes friends with red balloon. In the end, when the child was besieged by a group of gangsters, the balloons never left, and what they witnessed was the loyalty of friendship.
This 1956 short film has always been a classic of children's movies, and it's a pity that I'm so old to see it. But the children in the future will not miss it.
