i got it.(my interpretation)

there's only girl: aubury.
dacota is aubury's imagination.
aubury cultured her own schizophrenia since a long time ago. "she always feel like half a person. but sometimes if she dreams hard enough she can bring them together".
and when aubury's caught and tortured, she lies there and her imagination goes on.
she's imagining that the girl she has been imagining(dacota) is trying to save her, so when aubury is dead inside the tomb(or maybe dying), she could finally smile because her imagination tells her that dacota has successfully saved her and dacota is laying herself beside her.

but the "reality" scene inside the movie is that aubury is never saved. she died in the way as the previous victim(another girl).
"i know who killed me" is a sentence burried deep beneath.

i always feel like half a person too.
the neurotic english me and the consciencious chinese me.
i see no chance of bring them two together.
well maybe when i am dead and both of them are dead.
"i know who knew me" is a burried sentence, too.
