The film was made in extremely rudimentary conditions, with only a cash-strapped director, a dubious male and female lead, a cameraman, a camera assistant, and lighting. The plot couldn't be simpler, the love story of a pair of widowed middle-aged men and women. There are very few dialogues, and many dialogues were not matched in the later stage due to various reasons, and were replaced by music. Such a film is inevitably a bit dull, but it has a timeless style, delicate emotions, and is full of French romantic feelings. The defects that may arise due to the limitation of technical funds have been mythically evolved into extremely stylized features by the director.
