The male protagonist should be a wise, kind, but somewhat indecisive priest-like character. Kruger came to play, only a stern face full of stubble, which is actually not good for character portrayal.
The plot design is also problematic, lacking in theme and climax. The rhythm is not strong. The director can't.
It can be said that the real historical events are touching, but the movies are so-so.
