The movie tells such a story.
Some preachers like to ask the question: Why do people live? What is the meaning of life?
Since the question itself has set a teleological trap, no matter how you answer it, you will fall into its premise that life has a purpose.
About ten years ago, I vaguely felt that life cannot be without something worth pursuing, fighting for, and even sacrificing. Young people are undecided, can't think of better goals, can't play new tricks... Later, when I read "Gone with the Wind", I know what psychological projection is, a little longer, and I know that there are "Ten Commandments" - Don't set an idol for yourself.
Richie found the idol and ate/bonded her.
God, please let them go.
