The design of this film is really coincidental. The actor cannot attend the wedding of the rich businessman's daughter because of fundraising. At the wedding, he met his old lover by chance. Then suddenly I learned that the lover's daughter is not the flesh and blood of the rich businessman... Sure enough, I learned later that this daughter was really the flesh and blood of him and his lover. During the period, there were many dramatic conflicts, such as the daughter's encounter with the "mistress", the illness of the wealthy businessman, and the want of the male protagonist to replace him, etc.
A classic European ethics film that was nominated for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
