However, this deconstruction is likely not original by the film's makers, but a follow-up to the great success of "Shrek" episodes 1 and 2. Not only the protagonists Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf are from classic fairy tales, but other characters, such as the Three Little Pigs, are obviously from Shrek
and Hoodwinked is not just Shrek, but obviously also There is Kill Bill. Not just the outdated soundtrack of Big Man and Little Red Riding Hood, it's almost a remake of the famous "Battle without Honour" from Kill Bill. And throughout the movie, a lot of slow motion, rotation, flashbacks, etc. are all trying to create the same cool feeling as "Kill Bill".
Although it is very follow the trend, it does not hurt, not to mention the cool movies like "Shrek" and "Kill Bill". If you can make a hybrid of "Shrek" and "Kill Bill", it will be very nice.
It's a shame that, at the heart of Hoodwinked, the story itself isn't that cool. In fact, this story does not deconstruct classical fairy tales at all, on the contrary, he completely follows the path of classical fairy tales. All characters are single and fixed, black and white, and there is no contradiction or choice. The conflict in the whole film comes entirely from the frontal conflict between the good and the bad, and good and evil, according to the way of this film, are almost the innate attributes of the characters.
So this movie is actually only suitable for young children to watch, and even those who are not suitable for watching "WallE" are suitable for watching this "Hoodwinked". Since the audience is so young, it is not a problem even though the visual effects of this film are extremely poor.
In addition, although the movie itself is not very good, the soundtrack of this movie can be very good.
