The special effects aspect is commendable, because special effects give the audience a lot of visual enjoyment. There may be progress in doing a lot of tricks. The whole movie is nothing more than a fight between The Shining and Doctor Octopus. Doctor Octopus has a variety of shapes in the movie, but the ever-changing shapes are inexplicable. He sometimes appears in a Japanese kimono, and sometimes in a policeman's uniform. Usually the bad guys in this kind of heroic action movie are supposed to be doing bad things; In The Shining, Doctor Octopus appears to be playing the role of a "comedian".
The Shining also uses a lot of illustration-style graphics to present some images. The illustration-style presentation is counterproductive in a film that focuses on action and special effects. And The Shining doesn't explain the origin of The Shining itself until the very end of the movie; this means that the audience is kept in the dark throughout the movie and won't realize The Shining until the end of the movie. How did it form. The arrangement of such stories and plots is not too appealing.
