Many film critics say that the film reflects the deep love a wife has for her husband, but I disagree.
In my opinion, the wife is cruel and selfish.
The greatness of her personality is only for those poor people in Africa who are on the brink of life and death. She sympathizes with them and wants to do something for them, so she stepped into the political whirlpool step by step, and finally dedicated her young life to it.
But to her husband, a gentle and calm ambassador who only likes to play with flowers and plants in his spare time, she is cruel! She brought him to the fore, repeatedly embarrassing him and jeopardizing his career advancement; she offered to have sex with her husband's boss for the sake of her career; she was always with her black doctor friends, even if Everyone around her misunderstood their relationship and she didn't explain it to her husband. . . . . .
I even think that what she loves is not her husband, but his profession - ambassador to Africa. This career has given her the opportunity to enter Africa more and understand all aspects of Africa, so as to carry out her career.
