An Abbas movie that I didn't understand

Abbas is a pessimist, but his film is a tribute to life, perhaps this is the general character of Persians, many Persian poems describe death, but it is a tribute to life. Abbas's movies are dull, but a good movie is to have an insight after watching it, and Abbas's movies belong to this category. This film is rich in color and has far-reaching implications, but Abbas seems to deliberately weaken the plot. From the film, he can appreciate a kind of emptiness and a kind of difficulty in communication. The hero in the film drives to the mountain again and again to answer the phone. It's the whole movie that impressed me a lot. But I still don't understand this film, or he wants to express too many things, I don't know what theme he wants to express, is it the emptiness of life, or the praise of life? Aren't the two contradictory? Abbas really made a good movie.
