same idea, better execution- compared to my mother's boyfriend

There is a saying in the creative industry, good idea, bad execution. That is to say, don't look at the masters and think that your ideas are so awesome that if you can't do it or don't do it properly, it's a piece of shit. This sentence is exactly confirmed in this Transsiberian and another comedy my mother's boyfriend.

Both films adopt the routine of the character's psychological twists and turns/story plots take a sharp turn. One is a recommendation that can entertain the public, and the other is a Ruining piece of shit. (Those who have seen it know that those who haven’t seen it, don’t watch it to confirm what I said, or you will be embarrassed.)

Therefore, choosing a movie time to watch the plot introduction is a very unreliable behavior. Everyone should take precautions.

Although recommended, but as long as you watch it, it will not be a fire. . . .

The exquisiteness of the small details cannot withstand the mediocrity of the large format. It seems that the drug trafficking line, which is not deep and shallow, does not seem to be the real focus of the director. But it undoubtedly took up most of the film's visual time. The dark side of the heroine herself and the seemingly common marital problems are exactly what the director wants to explore through the series of deaths and lies. But the space and depth are not enough, just a brief glance, so the distracting argument is no longer tenable. This is more like a bad compromise between personal expression and business considerations, and the result is not relying on either side. The white snow scenery of Siberia and the exoticism of Russia (rude and barbaric, chaotic communication) show a nostalgic orientalism.

Transsiberian quotes

  • Jessie: Kill off all my demons, Roy, and my angels might die, too.

  • Grinko: In Russia, we have expression. "With lies, you may go ahead in the world, but you may never go back." Do you understand this, Jessie?
