Son of Rambow and Be Kind Rewind

Two films about making films myself; two films about realizing my dreams. Son of Rambow is a childhood dream, Be Kind Rewind is an adult.

Prefer Son of Rambow. Because I had the same childhood, but grew up with less and less imagination. When I was a child, with my younger brother, one played Guan Gong with a broom and a big knife, and the other played Zhao Yun with a clothes-drying fork as a silver gun. Every day, knives and guns came and went. If there were cameras, I think, like those two children, they would shoot by themselves. the idea. At that time, there was never anything to worry about, never to be carefree.

Growing up, as Be Kind Rewind says, sometimes life is a dump swamp. You're stuck for life. In the quagmire of life, sinking little by little, the pressure of reality is increasing, and the dream is less and less, until one day, you completely lose it.

Check out Son of Rambow, which will remind you of your childhood dreams; and Be Kind Rewind, which will give you the motivation to rediscover your dreams.

Son of Rambow quotes

  • [last lines]

Lee Carter: This has been my best day of all time.

  • Lee Carter: I don't care what you and your so-called mates say about me, but don't you ever, ever call my brother a scab! You know, at least he's there for me! At least he cares about me, which is more than I can say for you, blood brother. You're a two-faced fake like the rest of them and I'm gutted it took me this long to work it out. I'm gutted I fell for it, Will. Lawrence is better than all of you and all that lot put together and he's all I've got, alright? He's all I've got.

    [sobs]

Lee Carter: I didn't come back for you anyway. Where's my camera?
