a bit business

When the film begins with a man hallucinating swarms of insects crawling on his body, I can feel the pain from the bottom of my heart. Once, I always felt that countless bugs were crawling on my back and it made me tingle. I had to forcefully tell myself that this is not true or not, it's just that my brain was fucked up. In this sense, I can really understand the reason why LSD is no longer popular nowadays. Having a bad trip is a very bad thing, especially when you trip until you are drowned...

But I still want to take LSD, It's too far...

I've seen "waking life" first, so I'm not too shocked by the animation effect of this film. What is more shocking is that this film actually started a lot of big stars, and there is no Ethan Hawke, unlike Richard Linklater's style. Of all the Linklater films I've seen so far, this one is the least his style - for example, it actually has a plot! Moreover, the proportion of dialogue and the spark of thinking have been greatly reduced in this film, which is almost commercial.

Of course I'm not saying I don't think this movie is bad. Given my love for Linklater, every one of his films, if not the best, seems to me to be above average. However, it is undeniable that the main focus of this film is the screenwriter, which is the original work, so unfortunately I haven't seen much of Linklater's shining points (his director is still very good, I have always liked his independent film style very much , but I prefer him to write and direct it). Compared with his almost imitation of Polanski in "Tape", although this one is relatively commercial and lacks originality and novelty, it is also relatively mature.

  • Medical Deputy #2: Damage has taken place to the normally dominant left hemisphere, and the right hemisphere is attempting to compensate.

Fred: The two hemisphere in my brain... are competing?

Medical Deputy #2Medical Deputy #1: [in unison] Yes.

  • Medical Deputy #1: You know, Fred, if you keep your sense of humor like you do, you just might make it.

Fred: Make it? Make what? The team? The chick? Make good? Make do? Make out? Make sense? Make money? Make time? Define your terms. The Latin for 'make' is facere, which always reminds me of fuckere, which is Latin for 'to fuck', and I have been getting jack shit in that department as of late.
