When the movie ended, I finally cried.

About Jane Austen.

I have always liked her classic British rural life, which is tranquil and warm. There are also occasional lively manor parties, and luxurious high-class balls to adjust the ordinary life.

Her work is always a twist and turns, and finally ends in unexpected comedy.

It is also a miracle in my life that I often pray for.

"Sense and Sensibility", another female-themed work. Thanks Jane Austen and Ang Lee.

It makes people change from crying sadness to laughing joy.

"Can you forgive me, can you love me, can you marry me?" What could be more happier than being in a relationship with each other and getting married together?

In the end, lovers get married. Simple life, but full of happiness. What a moving story! Seeing them all laughing in the play made me really happy.

Hope I can be happy. Hope everyone gets ultimate happiness. no harm.

PS: Austin always emphasizes that good origins create good qualities. The ideals of the three sisters are painters, pianists and writers. It shows how rich they were born. The so-called good quality this time is, no deception, no disappointment, no broken promises, and the forbearance of previous love, to the final expression of love.

Sense and Sensibility quotes

  • Charlotte Palmer: To think! We can see his insufferable house from the top of our hill. I shall ask Jackson to plant some very tall trees.

Mr. Palmer: You will do nothing of the sort.

  • Mrs. Dashwood: We're so happy that you chose to invite Edward to Norland. He's a dear boy. We're all very fond of him.

Fanny: We have great hopes for him. Much is expected of him by our mother with regard to his profession.

    Mrs. Dashwood: Naturally.

Fanny: And in marriage. She's determined that both he and Robert will marry well.

Mrs. Dashwood: Of course. But I hope she desires them to marry for love.

Fanny: Love is all very well, but unfortunately we cannot always rely on the heart to lead us in the most suitable directions. You see, my dear Mrs. Dashwood, Edward is entirely the kind of compassionate person upon whom penniless women can prey. And having entered into any understanding, he would never go back on his word. He's simply incapable of doing so, but it would lead to his ruin. I worry for him so, Mrs. Dashwood. My mother has made it perfectly plain that she would withdraw all financial support from Edward should he choose to plant his affections in less... exalted ground than he deserves.

Mrs. Dashwood: I understand you perfectly.
