I don't know the director very well, and I haven't seen any of his other films. But fortunately, before watching each movie, I never gave them a position in my mind, just based on my understanding of the name of the movie.
Perhaps this movie is also similar to "Hidden Camera". And I learned that the director did a complete reshoot of "Funny Games", which he shot ten years ago. Except for the actors who were more famous and the title of the film slightly changed, he did not make any other changes. Pay attention.
Funny Games, not for the movie, not that the movie is a fun game for us viewers. It's the male protagonists in the movie, they're playing games, and it's us who get the fun.
We thought that after all, one of them died. In fact, he held the remote control and kept pressing back, back, back, and back. Well, it's our eyes that are actually being pushed back, it's what they see us from the screen.
When they finished talking the rules of the game, they suddenly turned their heads to us and said, "Which side are you on? Do you think they will die?"
From time to time one of them asked the other, what time is it, what time is it. It's also reminding us of time, time to kill people, time to end the movie, time for them to play games and fool us.
At the end of the movie, one game is played, and another game is played. Fun for us, then let's fun some other people.
Ps: The names of the two male protagonists in the movie started out as Paul and Peter, but later became Tom and Gerry, and finally Bevis and Butthead. I think it should reflect something profound, but after all, it is a movie for Americans, so I gave it four stars in the end.
