No matter what, you have to believe

As the title, I think this is the biggest gain I got from the film--M and S are like priests preaching, telling us that no matter whether there is ET or not in the world, we must believe and insist on what you should do thing -- that's pretty much the warmest thing I've heard recently.
Not an orthodox TXF fan, but I'm grateful that it opened a strange window for me, and we can't say it doesn't exist for the unknown. So I watched the movie as soon as it came out.
The whole film feels like it's not clear: the snowstorm, the dark background, the blurred light. . . There is also the desperate attempt to demonize Russia, which is depressing: what before the Russians did experiments with dogs and now they do it with people. . (What kind of experiment was done? Mon...)
There are also priests who have committed crimes but become psychic mediums; the powerful FBI finds a missing agent who has been reduced to using psychic clues and hired old detectives from many years ago The staff came out (prove that Jiang is still old and hot); in the powerful FBI, the person in charge is a fierce woman + big old black. (Does this mean that the times have progressed?)
The plot of the story is also very unclear and I am still confused after reading it. It would be fine if there were no aliens, and the organ trade would also be involved.
But what runs through the whole film is M's insistence to believe, and that S still doesn't give up in the end. This is very moving. Maybe the warmth has covered the shortcomings of the film?
For TXF fans, in the past ten years, have they given up believing in ET and supernatural? The director kindly reminded us, remember to keep believing!
I think my answer is: yes, I will stick to it.
I have imagined more than once that M's sister will appear in front of him as a child again, and I thought so again after watching this movie. All our lost relatives and friends will exist in another dimension, and we can always meet.

Father Joe: For the salvation of my immortal soul.

Father Joe: Do you think he hears yours?

Dana Scully: I didn't bugger 37 altar boys.

    Father Joe: Oh.

Fox Mulder: That's a colorful way of puttin' it.

Dana Scully: Well, I have another word, if you'd like.

Fox Mulder: I'm sure you do.

  • Dana Scully: You know, the truth is, I worrry about you, and the effects of long-term isolation.

Fox Mulder: [chuckling] I'm fine here. I'm happy as a clam.
