After watching the real historical events of Rescue Dawn, I discovered the true purpose of this film: it turned out to be an inspirational textbook. Its courses include: perseverance in pursuit of ideals, life and death with a team, and perseverance to the end in order to survive...etc, and so on.
And the facts? The Creator speaks through probability. The survivor recalled: Luck, it was luck that chose me.
The planner/leader of the entire prison escape plan divided several people into groups and dived into the rainforests of Southeast Asia separately to escape. He volunteered to be tied up with the weakest one. The reward for this hero's choice is naturally probabilistic: the two disappeared and were buried in the jungle. The reason why the only survivor was able to return to the American camp was mainly because his companion was hacked to death with a sickle by the villagers when he was begging for food for two people in the cottage. The survivor, our protagonist, was so hungry and dizzy that he had to hide in the forest, watching his companions get chopped down, and then slip away.
He didn't make any choices that were against common sense, or beyond morality. He just chose to survive. And probability gave him a chance to live.
It turns out that we are so powerless and insignificant. In order not to let everyone be too discouraged, Hollywood made the film into the version we saw.
