Everyone has a kite in childhood

Without a doubt, this is one of the best movies I've seen so far. Although the second half has the suspicion of whitewashing liberalism and falls into the trap of Hollywood movies too much, it is still a good film.
When we were young, we all had a partner, whether it was a man or a woman, a friend or an enemy, we have had one, especially in poor places. The partners in the film, who seem to be masters and servants, are actually brothers, but their sincere emotions can allow them to distinguish between good and evil and the authenticity of human nature in the process of growing up. I think the movie not only expresses this point, but also expresses this point of the original book, which is enough.

Although it is far from the touch of the book, it is not as useless as they said.

The Kite Runner quotes

  • Baba: [regarding the mullahs, who teach that drinking alcohol is a sin] I piss on the beards of all those self-righteous monkeys.

  • Amir: [explaining Sohrab's presence] You see, General Sahib, my father slept with his servant's wife, and she bore him a son named Hassan. Hassan is dead now. That boy sleeping in the other room is Hassan's son. He's my nephew. That's what you tell people when they ask. And one more thing, General Sahib: you will never again refer to him as "a Hazara boy" in my presence. He has a name, and it's Sohrab.
