The film nakedly shows that when some people's rights lose their checks and balances, people will become so terrible!
At the beginning of the movie, all people are still equal, and the purpose of these people participating in the test is nothing more than to make some money, or to have some fun. On the side of the prison guard, many people are just unknown and cautious characters at the beginning, but when they find that they can surpass the side of the prisoner, the seeds of evil in their hearts begin to slowly germinate. When the professor is away (actually just an excuse for selfish desires), rights are no longer restrained at all, the seeds of evil will soon blossom and bear fruit, people become zero tolerance, evil, hate dissidents, and begin to use any means to achieve their goals. People are really scary! Of course, the director set up the character of Bart (good?), although he was always imprisoned by other prison guards (evil?), it gave us some hope.
There is an extension of this film, thinking about those people in our society who have great power but lack supervision and restraint, I am afraid!
The Germans are so good, a film can reveal such profound human nature. There is also a small film less than ten minutes, "balance", which is similar in essence to the death experiment, but it is not as cruel and direct as the death experiment. I recommend everyone to watch it.
