Actually I don't think David's story has much to do with Giovanna's story, and I think the movie is just average. The love between David and Simon when he was young is too light. There is only one scene of dancing that is beautiful. The two hold their female dance partners each, but they look at each other.
The subject characters are not very prominent, and there are too many irrelevant characters. At first I couldn't tell who was
Giovanna and the handsome green-eyed guy opposite the window—well, he wasn't particularly handsome—the two fell in love during the voyeuristic process, but they couldn't let go of their own family after all. It is the bondage of ordinary women. Once caught up in family life, self-seeking is less likely.
One of the highlights of the movie is the theme song Giorgia's Gocce di memoria, which is said to have been written by the singer to her boyfriend who died in a car accident.
