Raymond Barron is a reporter for a sports newspaper in New York. He lives with his wife Deborah, four-year-old daughter Avery, and two-year-old twins, Mike and Jeffrey, in a beautiful, spacious home on Long Island, New York. Raymond's outstanding achievements in his work and his tolerant and funny character make him the pride of his family and the object of love for everyone; the careful management of Deborah, a full-time mother who is a good wife and a good mother, makes this young family of five. The family became a civilized example of the three good families in the United States. However, every family does have hard-to-read scriptures. The biggest obstacle to a happy life for the Raymond family is not Raymond’s busy work, nor the occasional quarrel between husband and wife. The harassment of Raymond's parents and brothers - Mary is a kindly old mother and a well-mannered family, but it's just that intense control, constant nagging, and unscrupulous meddling in other people's lives sometimes does make people Unbearable; dad Frank Barron is a stinky old man with all kinds of vices: selfish, mean, mean, cheeky, impersonal, informal, irresponsible, etc., etc., all these bad things Sex can only make Raymond feel embarrassed and ashamed in front of his wife; the police brother Robert, who is more than two meters tall, has a poor brain and loves to steal food from Deborah's kitchen and refrigerator, and send out food Apart from the strange voice, there doesn't seem to be much of a problem. It's just that compared to his younger brother, who has a successful career, a happy family, and has been the center of attention since he was a child, his marriage has broken down, and Robert, who is over forty and still living in the same room with his parents, is inevitably a little bit out of touch. Ashamed, jealous, and always have a small hobby of watching Raymond make a fool of himself, and even secretly stumbles. "Everyone loves Raymond" is the mantra that this big man often reluctantly hangs on his lips.

It feels like a family ethics drama, but it obviously doesn't want to answer any questions. It's a good pastime comedy. I like American dramas in this style. In fact, it is healthier than "Friends", but unfortunately it lacks a lot of laughs.

Everybody Loves Raymond quotes

  • Frank Barone: You know, Robert gets the jealousy thing from me.

    Ray Barone: Oh, yeah?

Frank Barone: Yeah, one time I drove my fist through a Cadillac, on account of your mother.

    Ray Barone: Really?

Frank Barone: Yeah. She started talking about marriage, and I told her to go to hell. I remember hearing through the grapevine, that your mother was going to have dinner at Chuck Pacarello's. Now, your mother's cooking, that's something... special. And, I figured, she was only gonna cook like that for me. So, I went to Chuck Pacarello's and punched the headlights off of his car. I spent the night in the hospital, picking glass out of my arm.

Ray Barone: Wow, dad, I never thought there was a story like that behind you and mom. It's almost romantic.

Frank Barone: Yeah, I know. I don't tell that story a lot, though.

    Ray Barone: How come?

Frank Barone: Because it doesn't have a happy ending.

  • Marie: [after walking in on Robert flashing Ray] I remember it from the tub.
