loneliness

Kirchlovsky's "The Flower of Two Lives", while watching and scratching at the wall, until the end of the movie the music plays, still can't understand the deep meaning of the movie, after looking for a movie review, I know that this is a movie about loneliness.

When Veronica of Poland fell on the stage, Veronica of France was lingering with her boyfriend, and suddenly an inexplicable sadness came to her heart, because her other half, even a part of her soul, had been removed from the world. Disappeared, no one can penetrate her heart so closely, this is the feeling of loneliness, even lust can't be eliminated.

"Can I stay here for a while?"

"No."

After her boyfriend left, Veronica silently shed tears of loneliness.

Loneliness is innate, it is a pure dialogue between self and self, and it is not limited by external conditions. Even if there are crowds of people, laughter and gongs, it still cannot stop the feeling of loneliness from creeping into my heart inadvertently. Being alone, or resorting to words, or with the help of music, if at a certain moment we can feel that the characters in the words are sitting beside you and the images in the music are around your heart, then we are not alone at this moment. Perhaps this is the power of literature and music.

Veronica in France is looking for love, looking for the one who understands her innermost being, not so much looking for love, but rather looking for herself. And this kind of love that can collide in all dimensions does not exist.

Others can't fully understand us, and I'm afraid we can't fully understand ourselves either. I can't, you can't, neither can Kirchlovsky, man can never really know himself. Consciousness, like eternal truth, can only be approached but not reached. Perhaps this is agnosticism.

There is no need to fear loneliness, because we are poor all our lives searching for ourselves.

  • Weronika: Is that me?

Alexandre Fabbri: Of course it's you.

    Weronika: Why two?

Alexandre Fabbri: Because during performances I handle them a lot. They damage easily.

  • Alexandre Fabbri: [kissing Veronique's forehead when she's lying upside down on his bed] Let's check and see if we're still bad for each other.
