In 2004, I just started to pay attention to movies and love movies. I browsed the introduction of this movie in an issue of "Watching the Movie" and liked it very much.
The addition of big names such as Jude Law and Angelina Jolie also makes the film lineup strong, and the computer effects of the whole film are also the reason why I am attracted.
But for various reasons I didn't watch the movie until today. Overall, I am not satisfied with the special effects, the picture is made like a childish 3D animation, and the realistic effect is completely lost. And some of the special effects are really bad. For example, at the end of the movie there is a scene where the Doctor is electrocuted into a skeleton skeleton, which is really bad and completely distorted.
The beginning of the film is good, and the setting is very real. I thought the story was very strong, but as the plot develops, I feel more and more that the script is terrible, and the childishness has reached a high level.
The society of New York after World War I was suddenly invaded by steel robots. This originally good story looked like "The Lord of the Rings" in the middle of the film, looked like "King Kong" in the second half of the film, and finally became "Dinosaur World". . . . . .
I completely succumbed, except for the special effects that can be seen a little, except for a little sense of retro and nostalgic pride, there is really nothing left.
I can only comment this way: a bad commercial film.
