"Because you are bored."

Anais is lucky not only for her loving Henry and June, but also for her having Hugo as husband, who gave her trust, freedom, reliance and support. eg Hugo once said to Anais (when she was crazy about imaging having sex with June) that "Be careful. Abnormal pleasures kill normal ones." and after Anais' affair with Henry and June that he might have noticed, he said calmly to Anais that "Anais, Give me your hand."

Then, came Anais' voice from out of the scene:

“That morning I wept.
I wept because I loved the streets
that took me away from Henry...
and would lead me back to him.
I wept because the process
by which I had become a woman...
was painful.
I wept because from now on I would weep less.
I wept because I had lost my pain,
that I was not yet accustomed to its absence."

I searched internet and got a sentence like this that did not appear in the movie, so I assumed that it's from the novel: "I[Anais ] wept because my eyes were opened to reality - to Henry's selfishness, June's love of power, my insatiable creativity which must concern itself with others and cannot be sufficient to itself." That's it. June said to Anais that "Henry said that you just took us in because you are bored.” Anais cried and denied it as a lie. However, she spiritually needs such communication and adventure, which I consider as true.

The reason I don't like Kaufman very much is that he tells the story too much, full of theory, full of plot, and lacks room for understanding and thinking. Because it is full of theory, it is easy to be analyzed and interpreted by people; because of its full plot, it can quite earn people's tears.

This old man. . Ha ha. . The story isn't too deep, just thought it was fun. .
