Both ends are not on the shore

"Fearless" fell short of expectations.

The thrill of this film is not as good as that of the 1978 old version of "Deadly Flower", but it has a more political color than the latter, but it is always hesitant to say anything, and it is not full of joy.

Integrating human beings around the world, making them no longer separate from each other, obeying a single supreme command, and then constructing a perfect world where fighting is no longer possible is the excuse or "ideal" for aliens to invade the earth in the film. Throughout the film, news reports questioning the US invasion of Iraq appear from time to time, which vaguely brings out the theme of the film. The best thing to watch in the whole film is the psychiatrist played by Nicole Jerman and the Russians at the dinner. .

However, looking at the whole film, the whole is not ideal. The suspenseful atmosphere created in the previous paragraph is actually quite good, showing that the details of life appear calm on the surface, but in fact, amazing changes have taken place from the inside out. This inescapable inner distortion is more impressive than the scenes of many gimmick disaster films spilling blood from beginning to end. However, from the middle of the film, the film gradually loses its fulcrum, and the repeated chase scenes are irritating. Only a moment or three of skipping cuts can't make up for the hole in the film. At the end, the car rampage is even more out of tune with the film itself.

The alien virus was stopped in a short period of time, and it doesn't matter that the process is not explained. After the calamity, people seem to be put in order. But has the problem really been solved? After this battle, people may gradually discover the unusual from the ordinary. It was not unusual in the past, but now if you experience it carefully, you will feel that it is full of holes. The alien virus slapped humanity hard and woke it up from chaos. People who wake up start to feel confused.

In the last scene of the film, Nicole Jerman stares at her recovered boyfriend with bewildered eyes, which is the beginning of her re-examination of everything around her.

What the director wants to express is far beyond the image, but unfortunately he focuses on the not-so-excellent sensual stimulation, which sells the soul of the movie and makes the brilliance full. Otherwise, the film's performance will definitely not fall into the embarrassing situation where the two ends are not on the shore.
