Doomsday alone

I was lucky enough to see this film in a Canadian overview class two or three years ago. It is an independent film that does not cost money and is not commercial. In this last time of life, everyone chooses to be with others invariably: with family and friends, with sexual partners, with people they know, with the person who is talking on the other end of the phone, even with with strangers. Patrick (who has always preferred being alone before) and Sarah Oh, who met to shoot each other at the last minute, also dropped their pistols and hugged each other at the end of the doomsday countdown. They are afraid of being alone, of facing death alone. At this time, the screen is blank, there is no thrilling big explosion, and there is no doomsday hero to save the world. No matter what happened, it's all over.
