gorgeous and cold, Reivew on The Triplets of Belleville

If we see a beautiful watercolor style mixed with a large number of 3D models with soft flat effects in an animation, then this film should basically tell a story with twists and turns, or tell you some philosophy, or focus on stirring emotions, etc. Wait.

But this film is thin and simple in plot and doesn't have any deep connotation stuffed into it. The details are full of sparkling imagination, as if the withered branches are covered with strange flowers. Even so, on the whole it is still a cold film, it seems to be an academic play, very lack of blockbuster style, and very indifferent to commercial appeals.
