The most extreme China in the American imagination

Leaving aside the part about China involved in the film's plot, "Spy Game" starring Brad Pitt and Robert Redford should be a very attractive spy drama. But there is a lot about China in the story, and Westerners may think this is the China they imagined, but in our own eyes, all this is very ridiculous. The film begins with a prison in Suzhou in 1991. An old-fashioned ambulance with the AMBULANCE English logo on the front of the car roared into the noisy and crowded prison. The prison scene is a bit like a refugee camp in a small country in Southeast Asia. All the Chinese prison guards Speaking Cantonese, I really don't understand why Suzhou people speak Cantonese? The walls are covered with slogans and small-character posters, anti-privilege and anti-corruption, and extremely dazzling "loyalty and treason". When a white woman was shopping for fruit on the streets of China, her head was covered by a cloth bag, and she was forcibly dragged into a car; Suzhou actually has a coastline; and there is a US military base 30 kilometers away from downtown Suzhou; she has a vulgar image and is keen to watch the American TV series "The Beach" The Chinese officials of "Guardian" shamelessly demanded bribes; two Apaches flew into Chinese airspace and successfully carried out a prison robbery... Hehe, this is probably the most extreme China that American screenwriters can imagine.

How can this stuff still appear in China! Xiaopi didn't seem to show anything in it except for a bruised nose and a swollen face. When he said he was a spy, he was actually just wrestling with bureaucratic machines.

After changing a few documents and changing a few sets of clothes, I just entered the prison in our country.
