Good subject, bad production

Starship Troopers 1 has always been one of my favorite movies. It doesn't matter how big the scene is, it's a very provocative plot and a fierce battle that stimulates the secretion of adrenaline.
Inertia, when you see this film, come down and watch it.
The story is still good, but the direct release of this film on DVD requires too little investment. Many scenes are like B-grade films in the 1980s. The bugs are so badly done. The camera is very addicting, but it's too bad in this film.
The film also did not focus on combat scenes due to funding issues. Understandable.
I saw Johnny again, very familiar, very tough, very soldier.
Why is 1 such a good film and such a big impact that there is no additional investment for the next sequel? 2 and 3 are both direct DVD releases, which directly affects the quality of the film. If you make a big investment and make an A-level production, it must be a big-selling film.
PS: I thought of the Zerg battle in StarCraft. Isn't that bug a puppy, isn't the last mecha soldier a human mecha soldier?

Starship Troopers 3: Marauder quotes

  • Johnny Rico: Situation, lieutenant.

Link Manion: Totally, ominously fucked up, sir.

  • Lola Beck: I'm heading for the Fleet marine lander. They've got weapons, and maybe even a com that works. And it's only a hundred klicks away.

Bull Brittles: Only a hundred klicks away? We ain't got rations for that.

Lola Beck: You're fat. You won't need any.
