The heroes and heroines have the same experience, they understand the feeling of being incomprehensible and the indifference to explain without resentment. I have to say that there will be many people around us who look like the hero, talking about our own fantasy, but the people around us simply can't understand it, thinking it is insane. And I happen to be the same kind as the heroine. If I meet this kind of person, I want to know and listen.
For me, the end is not important at all, what is important is the feeling that is explained in the process.
After reading the film reviews, I particularly agreed that this is a sentimental film in the cloak of a science fiction film. If you can read it, you will inadvertently fall into the psychology of the characters, you will want to understand the male protagonist, and you will want them to succeed, and the director will eventually follow the public opinion.
