Review Boston Legal

Originally watched BL season 2 because of his language, like I used to love watching West Wing. Later, I became obsessed with this show and began to recall the first season because I liked James Spader (Alan Shore) and William Shatner (Denny Crane). Their performances are really great. I predicted James deserved it before he got the Grammy. In the third and fourth seasons, I really became a fan of BL because David Kelly, the writer of the show, is the real owner of BL, and it can be said that he really created BL.

As a legal drama, BL's focus is not on crimes, not on the eloquence of lawyers, and even I don't think it has anything to do with the law. Instead, they discussed various hot issues such as the current political and economic environment, race, religion, anti-terrorism and Iraq war in the American society through the mouths of various lawyers (mainly Alan Shore) of Crane Pool & Schmidt. There are many cases, such as the town's request for independence from the federation, the town's request for nuclear weapons, the accusation of the military for sending a younger brother without combat training to the battlefield, and the accusation that the Democratic Party did not stipulate that party representatives must vote for party candidates according to the primary election results, Accusing the church stipulates that women cannot serve as archbishops.... The most exciting cases are actually impossible to be registered in reality and drama, but through this drama, we boldly point out some contradictions in American society, and through the prosecution and defense. debate on these phenomena. It is undeniable that the screenwriter's liberal views will be best served by Alan Shore's eloquent eloquence, but the intense debate on these issues in the American domestic society is evident.

In fact, through BL, the audience can better understand the hot issues of American society. Of course, it needs to be understood that many of the claims are not the mainstream views of American society, and the opposing views have not received the greatest degree of publicity. I once read a comment saying that many Americans couldn't watch BL because of its too strong politicization, even "Anti-America", which caused a decline in ratings. But for Chinese audiences, it is hard to imagine and very enjoyable to have such a bold and elitist discussion of various social issues. I recommend BL dramas to anyone who cares about society, cares about politics and wants to understand core American values. The good news is that there will be the fifth season of BL next year. We can continue to watch American society through this show, and the US election will lead to more and heated discussions. We will wait and see.
