You've got a rain drop running down you cheek, just like a tear...

William wiped Vera's tears away like this in war-torn London. This should be the only movie line in so long that my heart melts. It turns out that I'm still so hopelessly romantic, but such a beautiful line is just The edge of love is the icing on the cake, the layers and rhythm of the film itself can make me very satisfied with the aftertaste for a long time.
It is not so much a film about the highly controversial private life of the talented Dylan Thomas, but it is a story of two girls who go from rivals to friends and become soulmates. Whether Dylan or William, eventually became supporting roles, the background of World War II is actually a secondary motif. Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller's interpretation of friendship, love is really good, Bravo!

The movie is just so-so...the acting isn't great. But it gave back a profound truth: love is not bread, and you cannot have both - we are not the protagonists in Jane austen's book, and love is just the poet's talk after dinner. If he/she is the person you love most, remember to "be loyal to your ideals and turn your back on reality".

The Edge of Love quotes

  • Vera Phillips: I don't melt at the sight of a uniform, that's all. Sod it. I don't like nosy parkers.

Caitlin MacNamara: It was a civil question. I could have said, "Are you after my husband?" But I didn't.

Vera Phillips: Heartache, that's what I see in a uniform. I'm not gonna love someone just to have them die off on me.

  • Dylan Thomas: I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of you.

William Killick: Well, see you don't, then.
