"Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears". Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1981. The former Oscars were indeed respectable. Even at the height of the Cold War, a film that could be called the theme of the Soviet Union could win this very heavy award.
It also reflects how good the movie is.
At first I thought it was the rhythm of an old-fashioned Hong Kong comedy, and then I thought it was the style of Zhang Henshui. The rhythm changed in the second half, and as the alarm clock sounded, the joys and sorrows of life came to my face.
The beauty of those young people, the absurdity of youth, and the plight of middle age; ideals, careers, pursuits, and hopes.
Every generation has the same story, not fundamentally different by age, class or system.
But women are indeed waking up. The tears of the five protagonists thus left the tradition in the past.
Moscow does not believe in tears, it only believes in love.
