Waterloo's failure,
1. Napoleon has just returned from exile to form a new team. Domestic situation is unstable
2. Wellington chose a defensive play that was familiar with the terrain, consumed the enemy, and at the same time made use of the muddy land in rainy days.
3. The French cavalry marshal mistakenly thought that Wellington was defeated, and the cavalry pursued him, but the latter used the undulating terrain and phalanx to neutralize the opponent's cavalry offensive.
4. The arrival of the Prussian reinforcements gave the French a fatal blow. Napoleon's 40,000-strong army did not participate in the war not far away.
Still quite sad.
