worth seeing

I wasn't expecting much at first, but after watching it yesterday, I feel very good.

The theme of the story is novel, the beginning is very good and more realistic, and the second half is a bit made up. A bit anticlimactic indeed.

The horror atmosphere of the film is well created, and the more I watch it, the more desperate it becomes.

And why are the natives forcing these young Americans to go to the Mayan temple, until the end of the film, the director did not give us an answer.

And this movie shows us Americans' self-help awareness, not to mention, their ability to do self-help is really strong.

All in all, it's a good movie, worth watching~

The Ruins quotes

  • Jeff: [grabbing a water bottle from Stacy] We should save this.

    Eric: Hey, she's thirsty.

Jeff: I know, it's just that we don't have that much.

Eric: Well why do you get to decide Jeff?

Jeff: Okay, well we can all decide. But just keep in mind that each of us needs a half a gallon of water every day just to survive. And right now, we don't even have a day's worth.

  • Jeff: One of you has to go.

    Amy: Go? Go where?

Jeff: Down. We're going to check the rest of the rope and make sure it's secure, and then one of you...

Amy: [interrupting him] Why do we have to go? Why can't you or Eric?

Jeff: Because you're not strong enough. We need to work the crank.

Stacy: [after a long pause] I'll go.
