Movies adapted from games cannot escape the fate of being scolded by loyal players. Although the main plot has not been greatly changed, it has shrunk a lot compared to the game plot. In addition, the game uses movie montage techniques in many places, and flashbacks to explain the plot. The film is flat and straightforward, and it is too straightforward. After watching it, you will know two or three without any suspense. The style of the movie is also darker, but the game is a game after all, and the depression brought by the investment, I don't feel anything when watching the movie. In fact, the most criticized by players is that the biggest feature of the game, Bullet Time, was only shown once in the movie, and it was only one-to-one. I used two Colt submachine guns to sweep the classic scene in Bullet Time, but unfortunately I didn't see it in the movie. Even without the preconceivedness of the game, this film can only be regarded as a very ordinary action film.
If the whole process of Daren’s game + CG is recorded, I believe it will be much more exciting than this movie.
