The Rochester, modeled on Mr. Alligator, is a bit difficult to grasp, like the dream lovers written by all female writers, because of his indulgence in imagination and idealization. Although William Hurt, an American actor, rarely possesses an aristocratic temperament, Like Daniel Day-Lewis, more than melancholy but lacking in strength, Rochester is a rough but not rough man, the balance is difficult to grasp, he has the culture and style of an English gentleman, but there is a natural simplicity, and a little fragile- -Attention, it is fragility, not cowardice. The key is that he sees through the woman who is ordinary in appearance but rich in heart. The two have been testing each other, hoping to understand each other and escaping each other's control. Jane's departure is not as moral as it is It's a defense of one's own dignity, a hatred of Rochester. Jane's body is full of the dual personality of Christian resistance and patience.
I love Jane's story. Because in her I see a shadow of myself, though not quite.
