1. I haven't read the original book. Most of the life experiences of the protagonist told in the whole film are actually difficult, but the film gives people a more gentle and calm feeling. I don't know if it was more influenced by the director's personal style or the original work itself.
For example, at the beginning, the heroine was raped by her father, and her mother could not bear to die. In the beginning, two girls clapped and sang. One was a pregnant woman. After the father appeared and stopped, he immediately switched to giving birth to a baby girl and was taken away. Again transition to the narration of the female protagonist while walking. // In fact, I didn't see that it was the heroine's father at first. Before the heroine's narration came out, until the heroine was taken away by her husband, except where Olivia was taken away, the heroine had no sad expression throughout the whole process. There are few really sad expressions in this film. As if deliberately, the emotions are very restrained. // This part of the visual presents a relatively beautiful scene with my sister. The tone of the whole film is like this, with indirect or inner narration of the heroine, objectively describing the painful experience, and directly expressing the warm past in the sad years.
I don't like this style very much. I can't watch it in the middle, and I feel helpless throughout the whole process. Maybe the director wants this effect. Really warm and depressing.
Because such days are painful and long, not as easy as transitions.
2. A lot of similar scenes
2.1. celie answered Sophia's question why he told Harpo that he hit her life is short. // This self-deception test is very effective. I also like to comfort myself almost every day I stay at home before college. It is very effective and can convince myself to stick to it. Just hard. Daydreaming and daze are sorely needed to accomplish brief relief.
2.2 celie smiled shyly when she changed her skirt. //After being happy is curiosity, why others can be so generous and confident. Why, I don't know yet! Shug, how did Sofia grow up in what environment! //In fact, there is still fear, fear of making mistakes, fear of making mistakes. // I think this paragraph is suspected of beautification.
2.3 Celie rarely speaks to people other than Nettie and Shug, and it is basically an inner monologue. //I also rarely speak, and sometimes I even feel like an invisible person, and maybe I am deliberately happy to be an invisible person. Just tired. If it is tiring to exist, it is better to reduce your presence as much as possible. //I love guessing what's going to happen next, don't know why, and I love it now, and I love predicting. Just like predictions, not specific methods. I feel like I don't want to recall why. Just being a little persistent, I feel that I can give myself some sense of security. // In fact, a lot of times, no one listens to what I say. It also needs others to be polite and listen to it. It is often interrupted. Forget it, it's better not to say it.
3. shug, Sofia I can't learn a lot of their character characteristics, I can't know how they were shaped. how to transform. I also don't fully understand what part of their plot in the movie means. //But I know I like their characters more. I wish I could have such a character.
4. The heroine's father and her husband
All are bad people, but each is bad in its own way.
One raped celie, but told celie that she was doing for her mother what her mother should have done but her mother was unwilling to do. He doesn't mind telling celie what he's doing is actually wrong. But he will continue. He is also willing to send his youngest daughter to study without being stingy with money. He could allow his daughter to argue with him, but Celie's husband wouldn't. He knew he was wrong a lot of times, but he did it anyway.
Albert has a bad temper, likes to get angry, and likes to hit people. He does not allow others to refute, but he is surprisingly good to shug. His character was influenced by his father, who also influenced Harpo. Most of the time, he is more like a person who doesn't think for himself. He doesn't think about the right or wrong of abuse or rape, and just treats him as normal in life. It's more like this because of the father, because it's okay to be this way.
Harpo looked like he didn't want to be a father, but he didn't know what else it could be, and was afraid of being different from others. Divorced from Sofia in a fight.
5. I do not understand, very do not understand. Obviously the object is Albert, why does Celie feel uncomfortable and uncomfortable, but Shug likes it? The director also gave celie and albert a shot of the process. It's bad.
6. Lots of religious-related plots. Is it because the heroine's living environment has a great influence on religion? Sometimes I wonder if this movie has any intention of promoting the power of religious belief. It's not that I haven't seen other movies, this one is mentioned too many times, right?
