still high

The storyline of the entire Infernal Affairs trilogy is roughly divided into two parts. The timelines of one, three, and two are mixed together, and they are one part. The second one talks about the Ni family, which is another part. In chronological order, the second is the first part of the series, the starting point of the story. I will not repeat this part here.

The second part focuses on Chen Yongren and Yang Jinrong. Their timelines are intertwined, so they will not be further distinguished.

In order to lure Han Chen into taking the bait, Shen Cheng, a police officer in mainland China, pretended to be an arms dealer to make a deal. However, Han Chen was dissatisfied with his younger brother Shen Liang's rude remarks, so Han Chen resorted to a three-pronged strategy: he ordered Chen Yongren to hit Shen Liang with an ashtray, and at the same time sent the information to Yang Jinrong. This trick kills three birds with one stone, which is really high. On the one hand, Han Chen never trusted Chen Yongnian, and it was a test of him; on the one hand, he gave Shen Cheng a slap in the face, which was both a sigh of relief and a test; on the other hand, he made a favor for Yang Jinrong.

Yang Jinrong recognized Chen Yongren and confirmed his undercover identity by testing Officer Huang.

In the face of provocation, in order to continue to take the bait from Han Chen, Shen Cheng took advantage of the stupid and strong righteousness to get off the donkey and smash Chen Yongren with a wine bottle. But Han Chen still didn't trust Shen Cheng, and only sent Shao Qiang and Chen Yongren to contact Shen. Shen Cheng realized that the situation was not optimistic, but had no choice but to continue acting and trading. However, Han Chen distrusted Shen even more because of this, and chose to abandon Chen Yongren and make fun of Shen Cheng.

Fortunately, Yang Jinrong got the information in time, stopped Officer Huang's actions, and rushed to the transaction scene at the same time, Chen Yongren, Yang Jinrong, and Shen Cheng recognized each other's identities. Shen Cheng's action failed and returned to the mainland. Yang Jinrong is on a long vacation.

After this incident, Chen Yongren finally gained the trust of Han Chen and participated in the drug trade with the Thai guy. Officer Huang took advantage of this opportunity to attack the Han Chen Group in one go. However, Liu Jianming informed him in time that the police did not catch any evidence of Han Chen's crime, and Han Chen lost a lot of goods. Both parties realized that they were undercover and began to investigate.

Chen Yongren almost found Liu Jianming, but unfortunately almost. And Liu Jianming found Chen Yongren's clues by following Huang Sir. Han Chen sent someone out to kill Huang Sir, but Chen Yongren escaped.

Liu Jianming, who had a smooth career in Baidao, wanted to wash the white and go ashore, so he chose to cooperate with Chen Yongren. Caught Han Chen's current situation and killed him. Afterwards, Chen Yongren discovered Liu Jianming's undercover identity and found key tapes as evidence. I didn't expect to be killed by Big B, who is also an inner ghost. Liu Jianming chose to kill Big B to silence him. After that, he was investigated for 10 months and worked odd jobs in the General Affairs Department.

Yang Jinrong, who returned from vacation, found that Chen Yongren had been killed and called Shen Cheng back to avenge him. Shen Cheng continued to pretend to be a fire dealer in the Continental Army to investigate the identity of Police Officer Chen beside Yang Jinrong. Officer Chen committed suicide in front of Yang. Yang has been under investigation for a month.

Liu Jianming returned to work and was exposed to Chen's case. He suspected that Yang Jinrong was an insider and conducted a private investigation. caught Yang's attention. Yang Jinrong used key evidence tapes as bait to lure Liu Jianming into taking the bait. Liu Jianming's method of burning the evidence enabled Yang to confirm Liu's identity as a ghost.

Liu Yang installed cameras in each other's offices, and obtained the tapes in each other's hands. However, the tape Liu got was his own incriminating evidence, and Shen Cheng got another recording of Liu. The incident Liu Jianming was extremely vicious, killed Yang Jinrong, and committed suicide in fear of crime. But not dead, but disabled for life, echoing the title of the movie - in the Infernal Affairs, to live infinitely to suffer infinite pain.

The first part of the trilogy was very successful. But I have two regrets. First, Andy Lau's acting skills did not reach strength at some key points, and second, I had a hard time accepting the death of Tony Leung in the ending.

The second part complements the plot of the first part. Compared with the first part, the timeline is longer and the plot is more solid. But the film is not exciting enough, and the plot is flat. Shawn Yue and Edison Chen were not at the level of leading role, but Wu Zhenyu's performance was too wonderful.

The third installment follows the story of the first, giving the series an end, while echoing many of the details of the first and second. The plot is perfect. But on the one hand, the dubbing of the mainland actors is really good, and on the other hand, the editing of the movie is so messy that it makes people dizzy.

Overall, I think the Infernal Affairs trilogy has been very successful. The first is a pioneering work, unique, unique, and very stunning. The second part and the third part inevitably have contrasting characters, and the plot also has bumps. But it is undeniable that these two sequels both tell new and exciting stories on the basis of the previous ones, and the level is very high. The whole series has maintained a high standard, very good.

In addition, I would like to talk more about Liu Jianming, created by Andy Lau. I think he is a relatively pure bad guy, but he has suffered a lot of psychological torture because of his identity as an inner ghost, and he is not worthy of sympathy. Looking down the history of his personal development, maybe he had no choice when he joined the gang and went undercover in the police station. But when he killed Ni Kun, when he betrayed Sister Mary, when he cooperated with Han Chen who returned to Hong Kong, when he killed Lin Jiadong, he had a choice. So it was he who chose to take the underworld path, no matter what the result was, he had to recognize it.

As for his desire to wash his hands and go ashore, it is a very natural human nature to pursue profit and stability. He was an official Lu Hengtong and was highly regarded by his boss. He was newly married and wanted to be a father, so he moved into a new home. No one wants to go back to the underworld if they are mixed up like this in the white way. This is the nature of human nature to seek profit and stability, rather than seeking goodness for goodness. He wants to be a good person one by one, and then kill Han Chen, destroy Chen Yongren's files, kill Big B, find other ghosts, and kill Yang Jinrong, then how can he still be a good person? In contrast, although Han Chen was completely bad, he was bad and magnanimous.

Of course, we can't simply say that a person is good or bad, this is too one-sided. What is more important than good or bad is that the road is the one you walk, and you have to recognize how you walk. Han Chen recognized it, Mary recognized it, Ni Yongxiao recognized it, Officer Huang recognized it, Chen Yongren recognized it, Yang Jinrong and Shen Cheng recognized it, and even Dao Qiang recognized it. For better or for worse, they are open-minded. Only Liu Jianming, crying and shouting to be a good person, refused to accept the consequences of his choice, and only he was embarrassed in front of the golden sentence of "come out, you will have to pay back sooner or later", and he was not a man.
