It's absurd that I'm watching this documentary watching how the masses (including myself) are being manipulated by tech giants while reading marketing books to learn how to use consumer psychology and the media to gain profits for the company to manipulate more people. Commercial interests and social interests are sometimes doomed to be mutually exclusive? That's why sometimes I don't see the meaning and value of a person working in a company other than earning more capital for capital is it really contributing to society? This documentary pointed out some of the pathological behaviors of people around me about social media: how girls in junior high school manage and care about their image on social media, how to take pictures like Internet celebrities, so that they lose Life loses its character; how adults fell into the trap of user retention designed by social media, "Jingle Bell Bell" proudly earns every cent at the cost of precious time... I thought it was very sad before, this documentary makes I saw the sad point more practically and rationally. The documentary points to the impact of social media on people's mental health, lifestyle, teenage development and social stability. Fortunately, it also points to an optimistic solution attitude and direction, regulation and legal constraints, which also allows me to see some benefits of government regulation.
