The Producers

More sexually suggestive than the '58 edition I've seen before. That one is more dramatic, this one is more musical, and I prefer this one. Springtime for Hitler and Germany is as brainwashed as ever. I also like the song "unhappy" by Bloom back to the accounting office. The casting was too much to my liking. Bloom looks super cute and super tits, like a little penguin, his hysterical didn't bother me, but I thought he was cute when he shouted. The songs are also very malleable, the melody will repeat, but there are layers of progress.

Senior Social Animal Bloom: I was afraid of going in jail, I didn't realize that I already was in jail.

Then the last paragraph of till him at first made me a little confused, feeling like I was forcibly selling friendship, but in the end the contrast came when the judge said not to let them separate. They are selling prisoners of love stock in prison, 700% hahahaha. Two immortal people.

Fast forward when I encounter singing and dancing, and finally I saw a small comedy with a very simple plot. What else can I say?

The Producers quotes

  • Max Bialystock: Listen Roger, I know we sent it to you only this morning, but did you get a chance yet to read "Springtime for Hitler?"

Roger De Bris: Read it? I devoured it! And I find it remarkable, REMARKABLE! I feel it is a very important piece drenched with historical goodies. I for one, for instance, never realized that the Third Reich meant Germany.

Max Bialystock: Yeah, how 'bout that? Then you'll do it?

Roger De Bris: Do it? Of course not. It's not my kind of thing, I mean, Max please... World War II? Oooh... too dark, too depressing.

    [Music starts]

Roger De Bris: [sung] The theatre's so obsessed / With dramas so depressed / It's hard to sell a ticket on Broadway / Shows should be more pretty / Shows should be more witty / Shows should be more...

    [spoken]

Roger De Bris: What's the word?

    Leo Bloom: Gay?

    Roger De Bris: Exactly!

  • Carmen Ghia: And so the rule is, when mounting a... play. Keep it gay, keep it gay, keep it gay.
