We are so unaware of the tenuous links between quotidian symbols&the entrenchments of Oriental&Occidental culture, that seeing this movie gives me strange feelings that i am looking into the mirror to see myself&infinity. Sex&fixing are all about power(that's why the most arousal scenario in the film is when Song reported for the Gov) Moreover, there have always been so many illusions and expectations in exotic relationship, westerners who treat Orient as a woman to be rescued and saved just indulge themselves in the perfection that is suppposed to do all things the archetype of women can do, and will be punished for their hubris by the deceptive or duplicated performance offered by the Orient…
