There is a new technology that allows one person to enter another person's world of consciousness through a device. This is very helpful for the treatment of people's mental illness. The female supporting role and the female lead Catherine are such characters. Although they may not have the most authoritative spiritual knowledge, they are good at communication and have affinity. The female partner is treating a child named Edward. The two connect the device, and the female partner enters Edward's consciousness. There is a bad guy named Mojilo in Edward's conscious world, which makes him unable to live normally. There, as long as he can take the child out to sea and use a model of a ship, Edward can be restored to normal. But they failed time and time again, and the female supporting actor considered reversing the process and letting the child enter his own world of consciousness.

There is such a disease, which is infected by a virus in the human embryonic stage. After some acquired stimulation, especially the stimulation related to water, it will be stimulated and cause great damage to the human spirit. Carl is such a person. He lives with his father and stepmother. His father treats him very badly. He beats and scolds him at every turn. The doll called him a faggot, and later pressed the child into the water, claiming that it was baptism. Carl was about to drown, but the people around him were indifferent. He finally triggered the switch of the disease.

The police encountered a serial murder case. The murderer drowned seven women and threw their bodies, and now the murderer has captured an eighth woman, who is the female partner for Edward's treatment. Police found clues based on the corpse of an albino dog's hair and a Ford car to locate the killer. The murderer fell ill at this time. He collapsed on the ground because he failed to take anti-suppressive drugs in time. He was caught by the police. There were many steel rings on his back. He lured the victims with his albino dog, knocked them out, took them to a remote factory in the desert, and put them in a water tank in the basement, which was filled with water from time to time, and eventually drowned the victim.

The police caught Carl, but they knew that the location of the female supporting role could not be found, so they decided to let Catherine enter Carl's conscious world to find the answer. Catherine entered Carl's conscious world and found that Carl was a caring child, but extremely sensitive. At the same time, she wanted to escape from here. Catherine tried to gain his trust. But to be caught by a demon-like character in a kingdom, that's Carl's villainous personality, even stronger than his main character.

Catherine held down the switch at her tiger's mouth in time to retreat, and reported the situation to the police officers, saying that she had not yet found the location of the female supporting role. So she entered Carl's conscious world again for the second time, but was controlled by Carl's evil personality demon. The police officers saw that the situation was wrong and could not take the initiative to disconnect, so they sent another police officer in. The police officer finds Catherine in Carl's conscious world and tries to awaken her consciousness, but Catherine has been controlled, and finally remains expressionless, the evil personality grabs the police officer again, and slits his stomach and wrings out his intestines. The officer complied in time, told Catherine that none of this was true, and gave some private information about her, finally awakening Catherine. Catherine pierces the Demon King and prepares to flee with the police officer and Carl's real child personality, but the Demon King has caught up. In the end, the officer fled with Catherine and wrote down a sign there that the two could not take the helpless child. Children and Demon Lords are connected, and they will suffer the same injuries.

The police officers found Carl's factory building in the desert through that sign, and found the female partner who was about to drown, and rescued her in time. On the other hand, Catherine didn't want to believe that the conscious world was fake, so she entered the device again and connected with Carl, but this time she let the other party into her own conscious world. Eventually, Carl ended his life peacefully in Catherine's conscious world.

I thought it was a sci-fi drama with certain horror and thriller elements before, but it turned out that it was more fantasy, and there were metaphors such as various religions. The representation of the conscious world uses high-contrast colors to accentuate its unreality, while being more vibrant and visually striking. The composition is also very particular, and most of them tend to be symmetrical. The photography is equally astonishing, especially the one that moves from a normal to a top-down perspective and then turns to an upside-down, showing the "baptism", going through a series of bizarre scenes, then entering the world of consciousness, and making a 90-degree turn , settle down, and close-up in slow motion. There's also plenty of surrealism in the film, paying homage to or borrowing from countless works of art I haven't heard of. And that classic horse cut into many pieces, each still functioning normally. The film is full of the author's distinctive style. It is worthy of Tasim Sin, who made "Falling". This "Invasion of Brain Cells" is also his debut. The art team worked hard, makeup and costume design were not easy, this movie was still in 2000, which was extremely advanced. In this era, it is very rare and difficult to have such an author's film who dares to explore, and it should be experienced and enjoyed when watching the film.

Tasim's maiden role The post-modern visual picture showing the spiritual world is the highlight of the whole film, but about the setting of entering the spiritual channel, the explanation is not as clear as "Pirates" and the plot is more general

The plot may only be ordinary in crime movies, but the achievements in art are impeccable, exquisite composition, gorgeous and bizarre style of painting, peculiar yet glamorous shape, for works of art. The re-engravings with obvious personal characteristics all reflect the director's taste, and even the heavy-flavoured pictures such as perforated suspension and intestine pumping have brought the beauty of evil spirits
