Speaking of childhood shadows, the first thing that comes to mind is this midnight bell. The first time I saw this film, I was in the first year of junior high, in the winter of 1998. At that time, there was a movie theater near my home showing this film, and there was no publicity at all, not even a movie poster. It was just a small blackboard with the words "Midnight Bell" written in chalk, standing in front of the theater, inconspicuous. It was my cousin and a bunch of older kids who added fuel to the meal with me after watching it, which aroused my young and ignorant curiosity. . So I spent more than a dollar to watch the movie by myself. To be honest, this film really didn't have much influence when it first came out. There were no more than five people in the movie plus me, and at that time, the way to go to the toilet in the theater was still the kind of going outdoors first, and then walking a dozen meters before reaching the toilet. Therefore, in winter, the thick canvas cotton curtains are hung, and they are not tight, and a little wind blows in from time to time. It makes the whole viewing process always feel like a gust of wind, which is combined with the horror atmosphere of the movie and the empty theater environment. It filled my fear directly. Watching horror movies on small screens like TV and mobile phones is not the same as watching horror movies on a small screen. The most important thing is that the sequelae left by this movie are much more serious than the movie itself, and I dare not go up and down the stairs alone for a long time after that. The woman who combed her hair in the mirror was all in her mind, and her scalp felt numb whenever she thought about it. It both horrifies and fascinates me. Not long after that, I went to the theater to watch "Sadako Haunted" and "The Fierce Bell Reappears" by myself. In the end, "Zhen Xiang Da Bai" had already entered the VCD era when it came out. Just rented the disc and watched it at home. Thinking about it now, this series of movies not only brought me a terrifying childhood shadow, but also left me with a good life memory. Years later, I will revisit these old movies from time to time, as well as several new movies of the same series that I made later, and I will watch them all. But I can't find that feeling anymore. Only the feeling brought by doing the most suitable thing at the most suitable time in life is the most unforgettable one. This is feelings.
