With the expectations of the world, make up for the regrets of this life

I rarely watch horror movies, presumably out of fear.
I also rarely watch supernatural movies, probably because I am not good at accepting things that cannot be reasoned with logic.

I watched this film because my husband said that the magazine had recently rated this film very highly. Before watching it, he comforted me and said, it's not scary, don't worry.

So, I turned on the air conditioner, pulled the curtains, and curled up in the corner of the sofa to watch this film in the dark room.

The theme of the film is love and listening. Those differences between the past and the present, those between the disabled and normal, those differences between children and adults, those differences between common sense and illogical, because there is no proper way to communicate, because of lack of patience with each other, because there is not enough listening and talking , So, there is estrangement, there is distance, so disappointed, so lost.

Always with expectations for the next world, to make up for the regrets of this life.
So, what I've learned is - learn to cherish when you have it, and take it with equanimity when you lose it.

The Orphanage quotes

  • Simón: [while reading Peter Pan] Wendy grows old and dies?

Laura: Wendy grows old, but Peter Pan takes her daughter to Neverland every year.

Simón: Why doesn't Wendy go, too? If Peter Pan came to get me, would you come, too?

Laura: No. I'm too old to go to Neverland, darling.

    Simón: How old are you?

    Laura: Thirty-seven.

Simón: At what age will you die?

Laura: What sort of question is that? Not for a long time, until you're very old.

Simón: I won't grow old. I'm not going to grow up.

Laura: Will you be like Peter Pan?

    Simón: Like my new friends.

    Laura: There's more than one?

    Simón: Six.

Laura: They won't grow up either?

    Simón: They can't.

  • Aurora: Seeing is not believing. It's the other way around. Believe, and you will see.
