I've watched countless horror movies , and The Grudge is the only movie I haven't watched. It's very depressing, and it's basically a horror movie with no plot.
Today, many years later, I finished watching "The Grudge ", and when I looked at everyone's comments on the Internet, I realized that I was watching TV version 1, and I didn't finish it at all.
So I watched all the grudge versions in one day (except the American ones)
At the same time, I also found that many people are not clear about the version problem. Let’s sort it out and make it clear to everyone:
1. The earliest was the 99-level version of the TV series filmed in 1999. After a few levels, it scared the audience to death. It was banned in Japan. Later, even the negatives were burned. Basically, no one has seen the complete version of this version.
2. Then there are TV version 1 and TV version 2, right? The TV series version is condensed, and it should be the closest to the original. TV version 1 is the version with no chin, and TV version 2 is the version where the whole school is Kaye. (see the potatoes)
3. Then there are the movie versions 1 and 2 (also called theatrical version), which were filmed by new actors. The picture effect is clearer and the plot is clearer, especially the movie version 1. I personally think it should be tied with the TV version 1 as the most terrifying. . Movie version 1 is the version where college student volunteers take care of the old lady, movie version 2 is the version where Noriko Sakai's car crashes
4. Then there is the tenth anniversary edition. One is "White Old Woman" and the other is "Black Girl".
5. I won’t talk about the American version (it’s boring, and it’s easy to distinguish, the tall nose and big eyes are very different from the Japanese version)
It should be very clear, I personally recommend TV1 and movie version 1. If you have time and interest, you can also watch TV2 and movie version 2. The others are very general.
